Hi all,
Well last night there was some fine PVP action (although at some points I’m sure it wasn’t enjoyable for some).
The night truly started in Booty Bay; Tacitar having just completed his last ‘pre-40′ quest. As with Raedwulf, I took a screenshot of Tacitar’s momentous ascent to level 40:

After helping out Raedwulf with some quests on the shoreline, Tacitar was eager to recieve his Felstead. We travelled to Stormwind with the help of Raedwulf’s portal:

Tacitar got his Felstead quest from the mage quarter in Stormwind and was told to travel to a chap in Ratchet. We arrived in Ratchet without incident and soon Tacitar had his hellish stead:

We took some time in the Barrens (soon to be our battleground) to take some screens of each other; the three amigos:

After about half an hour the whole team (Me, Raedwulf, Tacitar, Terilar, Dragnus and Khelden) had assembled at the fork in the road (near Splintertree and Silverwing). For a while we just chatted and did a bit of dueling:

After some healthy PVP practice, we made our way south into the Barrens. We made it all the way to Camp Tuarajo (hope I’ve spelt that right) without incident and assembled on the eastern edge of the camp walls. After a bit of useful scouting from Raedwulf (positioned on the western side of the camp) and Tacitar (with the help of his awesome Eye of Kilrogg) we attacked the Horde guards on the eastern side to great effect:

Soon we were confronted by some rather high-level Horde, specifically a level ?? Tauren Druid (and this was ?? to me), a level 52 Orc Hunter and a level ?? (to me) Undead Mage. Even with these potentially overwhelming odds, we weren’t attacked immediately. The Horde were generally playing with us, although the Druid did attack and was nearly killed but just managed to escape inside the walls of the camp. The Orc Hunter also attacked at one point and also would have been beaten if he’d stayed and fought us.
After a while though, the Horde seemed to get tired of the play and decided to sort us out. I was killed a reasonable distance away from the camp by the Undead mage (this was after I’d ordered a retreat to Ratchet):

Eventually we all managed to get back to Ratchet safe and sound (with a glorious kill of a 42 mage on the way there by Raedwulf, Dragnus and I). Once there we attempted to lure some Horde into attacking (as with the previous time in Ratchet) but to little avail.
A good half an hour passed without a great deal of Horde activity and it was decided that we would make our way to Splintertree Post in Ashenvale to see if there would be more action there. Dragnus, Terilar and Khelden stayed in Ratchet to see if they could get some more kills while Raedwulf, Tacitar and I went ahead on our mounts.
On the way we thought we’d piss off some Horde so we attacked Crossroads a bit (killing a few guards at the gate) and also dared to step inside the walls to take down a pesky Orc (Tacitar disobeying a direct order so that he could get the kill). Don’t worry Tacitar I won’t demote you just yet.
We got taken down just as we were nearing the entrance to Ashenvale by a couple of ??’s, but this didn’t dampen our spirits. Raedwulf left us for the night as we arrived at Splintertree after helping us summon Dragnus and the others.
We did some serious damage to Splintertree (at one point we advanced all the way up the hill to where their mailbox was located! I got some dishonourable kills unfortunately (the rest of the group didn’t seem to get the DK’s but I was happy to take responsiblity…;)).
Our initial attack brought us well inside the walls of the outpost:

We survey the carnage:

Lack of Horde resistance led us to more dueling:

Our second attack was equally successful:

We were basically mocking the Horde at this point and eventually some high level blokes showed up. First we got taken down by a ?? Undead rogue, then a ?? Tauren Druid called ‘The Herminator’ and a ?? Orc rogue. Some lower levels were also there, attempting to get a lucky HK, but we rarely gave them the satisfaction.
The ??’s were the main challenge and we stood up to meet it with a tenacity to be expected from soldiers of the Imperium!
We took down the ?? Druid twice in spite of all his ‘run and heal’ antics. Here’s a picture of us about to smoke his ass:

After the second kill we rallied for a tactical withdrawal (at about 2:30):

Despite the fact that we only actually got about 10 kills all night, I personally thought it was great fun. There was definitely a sense of camaraderie in the group (especially in the later stages in Ashenvale) which made our victories all the more satisfying.
Anyway I hope you guys enjoyed it too. To celebrate both the night’s victories and Tacitar’s ascent to level 40 I’d like it if you’d all join Tacitar and I in the Hinterlands (there’s a fireplace there with six chairs and a fully-operated bar!) for a few drinks. We’ll probably be drinking most of the day so join us whenever’s convenient to you!
Great stuff guys! Good to play with you.

P.S. Sorry about the top of some of the picture being cut off guys; dumbass mistake on my part!
